Aureos acquires WhiteSpider to expand critical infrastructure IT delivery

The infrastructure services group says the deal will bring AI, cyber security and cloud capabilities in-house.

Aureos has acquired WhiteSpider, an artificial intelligence and IT specialist, as it targets work with critical infrastructure customers.

WhiteSpider employs more than 40 specialists working across enterprise networking, sovereign AI, on-premises systems hosted within UK-controlled infrastructure, cyber security and cloud technologies, according to Aureos.

Single supplier model

Aureos said the acquisition would allow it to provide WhiteSpider’s capabilities, accreditations and intellectual property directly, replacing delivery through partnership agreements.

The group said this would give customers a single accountable supplier across operational technology and enterprise IT. It added that the arrangement would simplify contractual agreements, supply chains and accreditation requirements.

WhiteSpider is a Cisco partner and designs, develops and operates digital systems intended to support resilient operations, protect critical systems and meet regulatory requirements, Aureos said.

The companies did not disclose the financial terms of the acquisition.
