Cubic Transportation Systems has launched TruView Central, a web-based platform intended to give transport agencies greater visibility and control over traffic signal operations.
The software is the first product in Cubic’s new TruView traffic management suite. It is designed to work with existing Cubic advanced traffic management systems (ATMS) and field controller networks, allowing agencies to access their systems through a web browser or device without replacing existing infrastructure.
Monitoring and control
TruView Central provides real-time information on signal status, device communications, coordination modes, patterns and controller alerts. Users can view network conditions through map, table or split-screen displays, and filter, review and export current and historical alerts, according to Cubic.
The platform also includes manual command and control functions for pattern changes, pre-emption, vehicle calls, pedestrian calls and clock synchronisation. Commands can be sent immediately or scheduled, with users able to track instructions sent to field controllers, confirm execution and deactivate scheduled commands from a central interface.
Configuration tools include a Controller Database Editor with two-way synchronisation for Trafficware controller databases. Cubic said users can upload or download configurations directly to controllers and save unpublished changes for peer review before they are sent to the field.
A Site Management function allows intersection layouts to be uploaded from ATMS for viewing and editing. The platform’s scheduler can automate routine tasks, including controller data collection for status and alerts, while guided ATMS imports allow historical device, intersection and alert data to be brought into the system.
Part of wider software suite
Cubic said TruView Central’s Central Processing Service supports secure, direct communication with Trafficware controllers and existing ATMS systems outside the cloud-hosted platform. The company said this enables real-time data exchange in line with customers’ IT network policies.
“TruView is designed around a simple idea: provide traffic professionals a clear, connected view of what’s happening across their signal network,” said Geoff Scalf, senior director of product for Cubic ITS. “TruView Central brings signal monitoring, control, and configuration management together in a secure, modern web-based experience, helping agencies make more informed decisions while continuing to leverage their existing investments.”
Cubic said the wider TruView suite is intended to support the automation and optimisation of traffic signal networks, as well as coordinated responses across networks. TruView Central became available on 28 September 2026, with pricing and upgrade options available through Cubic sales representatives.
