Thames Water has selected nine contractor teams for a framework covering major water and wastewater infrastructure projects across London and the South East.
The appointments, confirmed in a contract award notice, cover the current Asset Management Plan 8 (AMP8) investment period. The framework also allows projects to continue into AMP9.
Successful bidders
The successful organisations are BAM Nuttall, Barhale, Costain, Murphy, Galliford Try, Kier and Mott MacDonald Bentley.
The other places were awarded to the Binnies, Cadagua and Ferrovial Construction team, and the Amentum and Taylor Woodrow partnership.
The framework includes pre-construction services, engineering, construction and associated goods and services. Individual projects will be let through contracts under the framework, subject to the relevant approvals.
Contracts not yet finalised
The £4bn figure is the total potential value of the framework and does not represent guaranteed work for the appointed contractors.
The appointments remain subject to a standstill period, which is due to run until 3 November. Contracts are expected to be signed no earlier than 4 November.
The framework is initially scheduled to run until 31 March 2030, with options to extend it until 31 March 2035.
